I seem to be finding all new ways to be creative

It’s the second day of this new year and I decided I would try my hand at crocheting. I went out and bought the yarn (really pretty super soft wool yarn) and some crochet hooks (again pretty, with pink handles and comes with a nifty little case to put them in). I’ve been watching videos on how to crochet for more than a week and I all looks so easy and let me tell you it wasn’t very difficult once I got the yarn and hook in my hands. So yeah, been at this all evening (since I cleaned the kitchen after dinner) and I was moving along at a decent click. I decided for my first project I would crochet a scarf for my bestie for her birthday that is coming up in a few weeks (shhh … don’t tell her lol). So, I just decided that I’m going to put it down for the night, write a quick blog about it and then be a good girl and write in my journal (yeah, I’m writing all over the place). Well, I stretched it out and guess what … it’s not quite a scarf … it’s a snake. A very soft, warm and snugly snake. Yeah, so I’m thinking I will be unraveling it (again, cause I have done that a few times now) and starting over again tomorrow. As far as snakes go, it’s pretty awesome, but it’s supposed to be a scarf and my bestie isn’t a fan of snakes, so a scarf would be a much better birthday present. I will say, my hands are fairly cramped ( how in the hell my grandmother was able to do this is beyond me … she made us all blankets, which I wish I hadn’t unraveled when I was a kid, just so I could still have one), so this will definitely be a short blog post (a picture to commemorate my creation of a snake will be posted below). Anyway, I’m off … hope you all enjoyed day two of this fabulous new decade. I’m sure you will find me on here again tomorrow … hopefully with something resembling a scarf and not a snake.
